Lita Troy Wethington, 69, of Albany, MO, passed away January 23, 2026 in St. Joseph, MO. Lita was born September 12, 1956, in Owensboro, KY to Larry and Shelda (Owsley) Wethington.
Lita lived in the TLC group home in Albany, MO. She retired from the Sheltered Workshop in Stanberry, MO. She never knew a stranger and loved working jigsaw puzzles.
Survivors include her mother Shelda Carson; sister Debra Embrey (Steve); sister-in-law Jill Carson; and a host of friends.
Preceding her in death was her father; brother Brian Carson; and nephew Kelly Embrey.
Services will be Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 12:00 noon. Private interment will be held.
