Louise Irene (Sanderson) Merritt born July 2nd 1930 in Lyndon Kansas passed away at approximately 7pm on November 7th, 2024 at New Mark Care Center. She was the daughter of Cam Austin Sanderson and Mary Estella (Woods) Sanderson both of Lyndon Kansas.
Louise resided in Weston Missouri at the home she and her husband Robert Lee Merritt built on their farm. Louise was a stay at home mother and worked part time at the Weston Information Center and that was work that she loved. She also enjoyed trips to Branson and Las Vegas with her husband Robert. Louise was a patient and kind person and loved her family above all.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Robert Lee Merritt, her son Jim Mettler of Lawson Missouri, and her daughter Anita Walters of Grain Valley.
Louise leaves behind 2 sons, John (Jonica) Merritt and Mark (Karri) Merritt, son-in-law David Walters, grandchildren Denise (Nathan) Akridge, Danny Nevins, Carson Merritt, Vincent Merritt, Catherine Merritt, Kayla (Brandon) Allee, Charley Lincoln and 2 great grandchildren Scott Overfield and Lexi (Kerns Fortuna) Overfield.
Louise will be missed by all of her family and friends but we are happy that she is no longer suffering.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 11 at 10am at the Vaughn Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11am followed by burial at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Weston, MO.
