BROWN COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 8a.m. Thursday in Brown County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2021 Ford Explorer driven by Cory Aron Herbers, 28, Horton, was westbound Kansas Highway 20 at King Fisher Road.
The driver lost control on the icy road. The SUV traveled into the ditch and overturned.
EMS transported passengers identified as Carrie Beth Steimel, 46, Horton, to the hospital in Hiawatha and a 6-year-old boy to Children's Mercy. Herbers was not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
