ATCHISON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on sex and drug allegations.
Just after 5:30p.m. Saturday, officers responded to the 500 block South 9th Street in Atchison.A 39-year-old woman reported being the victim of a sexual battery, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.
Following an investigation, police took 46-year-old Waylon Barnett of Marshfield, Missouri into custody on a requested charge of sexual battery. He was was subsequently found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
