NW Missouri teen airlifted to hospital after ejected in crash

GRUNDY COUNTY—Three teens were injured in an accident just before 8:30p.m. Saturday in Grundy County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Toyota Matrix driven by a 16-year-old Trenton girl was northbound on Route A six miles northwest of Trenton.

The driver failed to negotiate a curve. The car traveled off the north side of the road and overturned.  A 14-year-old female passenger from Trenton was ejected through the passenger side window.

Life Flight Eagle transported the 14-year-old to Children's Mercy. Mercer County EMS transported a 15-year-old female passenger from Trenton to Wright Memorial Hospital. The driver refused treatment at the scene. The two passengers were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP.
