Michael Wayne Ruark Jr. passed away at Mosaic Medical Center on November 4th at the age of 43. He was born on March 22, 1980 to his loving parents, Michael Ruark Sr and Edith Ruark.
Michael had the biggest heart and loved to make everyone around him laugh. He enjoying listening music, fishing, and spending time with friends and family. He absolutely loved his chosen career of driving truck. He couldn’t think of anything else he would rather do.
Michael’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who truly knew him. His memory will always be cherished by family and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his young son Keaton McLean-Ruark, his beloved grandparents Bernice Ebling, Lloyd Horn, William Schubert, Dorthy Ward, and Paul Ruark, his uncle Andrew Ruark and his aunts Cindy Strahm and Helen Hughey.
He was survived by his parents Michael Ruark, Sr. and Edith Ruark, his two sons Andrew Ruark-Layman, and Keegan McLean Ruark, his stepdaughter Taylor Layman,his brother Jason Ruark (Renee), his niece Bentley Ruark, his nephews Remington Ruark, Elijah Coreas, and Nathaniel Coreas, his uncles James Ruark (Sue), Steven Horn (Cindy) and numerous cousins and second cousins.
We would love to thank the staff at Mosaic Hospital and Hospice for their incredible kindness and care they provided for Michael during such a difficult time.
Visitation 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Wednesday, November 8th at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM.
