Man from Trenton hospitalized after pickup strikes mailbox

DAVIESS COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 6a.m. Friday in Daviess County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Ford Ranger driven by Ethan A. Ross, 20, Trenton, was northbound on MO 190 seven miles south of Jamesport.

The pickup traveled off the east side of the road, struck a ditch, a mailbox, traveled back across the road and came to rest in the ditch.

Daviess County ambulance transported Ross to Hendrick Medical Center. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
