Driver accused of DWI after Nodaway Co. head-on crash

NODAWAY COUNTY—Two drivers were injured and one arrested after an accident that occurred just after 4a.m. Sunday in Nodaway County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Ford F150 driven by a 31-year-old Maryville man was eastbound on MO 46 two miles west of Maryville. 

The pickup crossed the center line and struck a westbound 2003 Dodge 1500 driven by a 24-year-old Maryville man head-on.

Omaha Air-ambulance transported the 24-year-old to Nebraska Medical Center. Life-Net transported the 31-year-old to Mosaic in St. Joseph. The 24-year-old was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.

Just after 8a.m. the MSHP reported the 31-year-old identified as Benjamin P. Luna was accused of felony DWI and careless and imprudent driving.
