Joshua Blair AuRum Snyder passed away unexpectedly on February 28, 2025, in Chico, California, due to fentanyl poisoning. He was born on June 11, 1981, in Atchison, Kansas, to Blair G. and Kathy H. Snyder.
Joshua was a gifted and creative soul. A dedicated student, he had a passion for music, composing his own pieces and playing the guitar. His artistic talent shone through his intricate pencil drawings. He was also a skilled chef, known for his work at Saint Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas.
A man of deep faith, Joshua was a devoted follower of Christ, often sharing his beliefs and offering encouragement to those he met on the streets of California. He had a love for sports, proudly cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Royals.
Joshua is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles R. and Shirley L. Snyder of Atchison, Kansas. He is survived by his parents, Blair G. and Kathy H. Snyder of Hewitt, Texas; his children, Caleb Snyder and Baylee Snyder; and his granddaughter, Ariadne. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will cherish his memory.
Joshua’s body will be cremated and returned home to his family. A celebration of his life will be planned at a later date.
