Ronald Louis Etchison, Jr., 69, passed away on September 20, 2023, in St. Joseph, MO. Born on September 21, 1953, Ronald led a fulfilling life as a devoted father, grandfather, and friend.
He is survived by his loving children, Ronnie Etchison and Mary Rice, and admired by his cherished grandchildren, Ciara Lundberg, Dayn McConnell, Jayson Rice, and Cayce Rice.
Ronald was a hero in both service and spirit, serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Beyond his career, Ronald was a man of traditional charm, recognized by those who knew him as being kind and friendly. He had a passion for hobby crafts and spent hours of enjoyment building model ships and airplanes. Ronald also had a deep love for animals; he spent his quieter moments with his cherished dog, Cookie.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Louis, Sr. and Almedia Maude (Dolton) Etchison, and his beloved dogs, Toby and Brandy. Ronald’s life and legacy live on through his family and many friends.
