Helen Cornelius, 97, Easton, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023.
She was born on July 9, 1925, to Carl F. and Elma (Stuber) Sommer in St. Joseph, Missouri.
She attended Central High School in St. Joseph, and in 1948 she married Harry Cornelius, Jr. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church. Helen devoted her years as a homemaker while serving her church, friends, and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry; granddaughter, Mindy; a sister, and two brothers.
Survivors include her daughter, Jan (Phil) Howerton of Chilhowee, MO; son, Dallas (Debby) Cornelius of Easton, MO; son, Cary (Sharon) Cornelius of Easton, MO; eleven grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 10:30 A.M. Saturday, January 14, Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, January 13, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
