Lafayette’s Jay Greiner and Bishop LeBlond’s Tatum Studer were named the male and female St. Joseph Scholar Athletes of the Year Tuesday night at a ceremony held on the Missouri Western campus.

In addition, Benton girls’ basketball coach Chris Michaels was named the St. Joseph Sports, Inc. Coach of the Year. He was a nominee for the award last year.

The St. Joseph Sports Commission also named Lafayette’s Erin Lotspeich and Central’s Andrew Gerstner as winners of the inaugural Student-Athlete Community Service Award.
