Patty Dye, 86, St. Joseph, MO, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024.
She was born on September 7, 1938 in Iowa City, Iowa, to Kenneth and Deva (Younkin) Beadel.
Patty lived a life characterized by her boundless love for her family, her warm conversations, and her heartfelt generosity.
Patty is survived by her son, Kevin Dye (Stacey); brother, Harold Beadel (Darlene); seven grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren who were the light of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Curtis Dye; children, Curtis G. and Terry L. Dye (Terri); granddaughter-in-law, Shawna Dye; and brothers, Billy, Melvin and Robert Beadel.
Patty's life was marked by her hard work as a dedicated laundromat attendant across various establishments in St. Joseph, MO. Patty thrived outdoors and had a profound love for animals, often seen nurturing the animals around her neighborhood. Known for her chatty and down-to-earth nature, she never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, even strangers.
Deeply involved with church, Patty's faith was evident in her actions and in her commitment to serving others. Her love for socializing meant that no family gathering or church function was complete without her presence.
Farewell Services 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Fletchall Cemetery, Grant City, MO. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service.
