Savannah man accused of DWI after violent pickup crash

ANDREW COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 3:30a.m. Saturday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2014 GMC Sierra driven by Blaydan R. Basler, 19, Savannah, was eastbound on Route C at CR 177 one mile east of Rosendale.

The driver failed to negotiate a curve. The  pickup traveled off the left side of the road, struck an embankment, became airborne, traveled over CR 177 and came  rest of the left side of the road.

Basler was arrested on requested charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to register a motor vehicle, failure to report an accident, no seat belt and operate a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner involving an accident, according to the MSHP.

A private vehicle transported Basler to Mosaic Life Care.
