Marilyn Jane McVicker, 68, of Highland Kansas passed away on July 1st, 2023 peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Marilyn was born on December 18th 1954 to William “Bill” and Janice (Collins) Stonebarger in Highland.
Marilyn graduated from Highland High School class of 1973.
She married John C. Gray the same year. John and Marilyn had two daughters, Stormi and Holly. Marilyn worked at Atchison Leather Products until the birth of her oldest child, at which time she became a homemaker. In 1981 Marilyn married Joseph “Elmer” Rawles Jr. They had one son Brooks in 1982.
In 1988 Marilyn married Russell “Dean” McVicker. That same year one son Joshua was born. Marilyn worked as a kitchen aide at the Highland Care Center and also as an in home elderly care giver.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Dean, her parents, two brothers Charles and Richard, and also two nephews Jason and Billy Stonebarger.
Survivors include her children Stormi Gray, Arkansas, Holly (Paul) Olson, Iowa, Brooks (Cassie) Rawles, Highland, Joshua (Taya), Highland. Thirteen grandchildren, Colton, Jason “Jett”, Keyton, Wyatt, Kailin, Tailar, Brooklyn, Brianna, Trenton, Allie, Destiny, Miles and Madalyn. Four great-grandsons Theo, Asher, Jaxon and Brently. Two brothers Tony (Heather) Stonebarger, King City MO and Les (Ree) Stonebarger Auburn NE and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the United Methodist Presbyterian Church, Highland from 10 to noon July 15th, 2023.
