David A. Anderson, aged 72, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at his home, surrounded by his son and daughter-in-law. Born on July 28, 1952 in Wilmer, MN, he was the son of the late LaVonne and Ardell Anderson. David was a dedicated worker, being one of the starting crew with Blue Side Tanning, and retiring after 48 years from National Beef as a Machinist. He enjoyed working on projects and keeping busy.
David was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Ann Anderson, his granddaughter, Shania Nicole Wheeler, and his brother, Jerry Anderson. He is survived by his son, Matt (Lisa) Anderson of St. Joseph, MO, his daughter, Kim (Shane) Wheeler of Gower, MO, and his grandchildren, Colton Anderson, Cody (Heather Schott) Wheeler, and Chloe Wheeler. He also leaves behind his siblings, Sue Trant, Lois Beck, Linda (Larry) Albrecht, Judy (Curt) Thornton, Janet (Mark) Davidson, Diane (Francis) Gaume, Stanley Anderson, Donnie Anderson, Scotty Anderson, Lisa Ruud, and Mike (Vickie) Anderson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 PM on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and a public live stream will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 14, 2025 at the Rupp Funeral Home with Pastor David Hugger officiating. Interment will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
