Johnny Paul Delp was born in Fairfax, Missouri on July 8, 1958. He was one of four children of Paul and Vesta Rose (Moser) Delp. John graduated from Oregon High School in 1977. While in school, he played softball, baseball and participated in wrestling. He worked for Sprague Excavating as a boring machine operator.
John served on the Southern Holt Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years, and also as a paramedic for a few years.
John passed away at his Amazonia home on Monday, November 4, 2024 at the age of 66.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter; son Kendall in 2018, and brother-in-law, Michael Davison.
Survivors include his companion, Brenda Kempa, of the home; their son, William, also of the home; his son, Randy Delp and his wife Amanda, Lawrence, Kansas; brother, Gregory Delp and his wife Cindy, Lewistown, Missouri; sisters, Angela Davison and Deanna Schmidt, both of Oregon, Missouri; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
