ATCHISON COUNTY, MO. —One person was injured in an accident just after noon Friday in Atchison County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2021 Ford Escape driven by Robin J. Henning, 67, Tarkio, was southbound on U.S. 59 one mile north of Tarkio.
The driver was distracted by an animal in a field. The SUV crossed the center of the road, traveled off the east side of the highway and struck a ditch.
Atchison Holt EMS transported Henning to Fairfax Community Hospital. She was properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
