Rose B. (Johnson) White, 80, St. Joseph, Missouri; went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Rose was born on August 8, 1943, in Topeka, Kansas, to the late James and Virna (Roberts) Johnson.
Rose married Richard A. "Dick" White, Sr. on June 30, 1962, in St. Joseph, Missouri. Together they raised their children and celebrated thirty-six years of marriage, until Dick preceded her in death on July 17, 1998.
Rose was a devoted wife and homemaker, and made many friends through her twenty-five years of bartending.
Rose was a Christian and a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary. She loved to play Bingo and cards and provided endless love and care to her children, grandchildren and pets.
In addition to her husband and parents, Rose was preceded in death by her step-son, Richard White, Jr.; two sons-in-law, Patrick Dunlap and Leon Rauch; four brothers, Ed, Roy, Ralph and Otis Johnson; three sisters, Dolly Johnson, Thelma Goin and Roxie Murphy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rose is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Gregory (Donald), Clarksdale, MO and Rose Dunlap, Easton, MO; two grandchildren, D.J. Gregory (Jessica), and Kelsey Dunlap; great-granddaughter, Hailey Ames (Clinton); step-grandchildren, Kenny Rauch, Penny Wheeler and Richard White III; beloved pets, Holly and Pepper, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service 2:00 PM Monday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith and Sidenfaden Chapel, where the family will receive friends one hour prior. Friends may call after 12:00 PM Saturday at our chapel. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
