DEKALB COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 7p.m. Friday in DeKalb County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Peterbit semi driven by a 43-year-old Monett, man was southbound on Route N turning westbound onto U.S. 36 in Stewartsville. The driver failed to yield to a westbound 2014 Nissan passenger vehicle driven by a 74-year-old St. Joseph man. The Nissan traveled off the north side of the U.S. 36 and struck the semi.
A private vehicle transported the Nissan driver to Mosaic Life Care. The semi driver was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
