Gary Clardy, 77, of St Joseph, MO passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Mosaic Life Care. He was born April 24, 1946 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Louise and Lawrence Clardy. He graduated from Lafayette High School, class of 1964. In 1965, Gary married Patricia "Patty" Owens in Troy, Kansas Gary worked many years as a Master Electrician working for Suadi Airlines and owned and operated South Park Electric. He was a member of IBEW Local #545. Gary loved to go fishing and he was a hard worker. He was proud of the time he spent in Saudi Arabia working with Saudi Airlines and enjoyed his trips to lake Viking. He was an avid collector of many things and loved his dog, Annie. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Larry Clardy. Survivors include wife, Patty Clardy of the home, daughters, Cindy (Marvin) Merritt of St. Joseph, MO, Sherry Fuston (Clay McCreary) of St. Joseph, brother, Dennis (Betty Beth) Clardy of St. Joseph, 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.Mr. Clardy has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM Monday, October 23, 2023 at Rupp Funeral Home, where family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Monday. Pastor Jim Barnett, officiating.
