On Saturday during Halloween, the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office along with other agencies conducted compliance checks on the more that 300 registered sex offenders in the county
Buchanan County Sheriff Bill Puett reports that once again a majority of the list were in compliance with 253 home and cooperating. The Buchanan County Sheriff's Office did find that 11 were in violation for not being home during the required time with each person submitted to the Buchanan County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for possible charges.
Puett also reports that one individual was arrested on a warrant for allegedly failing to register as a sex offender and for domestic battery during the night.
