St. Joseph City Manger Gary Edwards has resigned, effective immediately.
Edwards has been with the city for slightly more than two months, starting November 9th.
A news release from the City of St. Joseph says Edwards resigned “citing family health issues.” Edwards submitted his letter of resignation to Mayor Bill McMurray today and it was accepted by the St. Joseph City Council.
City Attorney Bryan Carter has been named Acting City Manager. An ordinance will be prepared for the January 25th City Council meeting to name Carter as the interim city manager.
Edwards came to St. Joseph from Aransas Pass, Texas, where he served as City Manager.
