Clarence Robert “Bob” Bromley, age 89, was born March 2, 1936 in Santa Rosa, Missouri, the son of Norman and Virginia (Garrison) Bromley. He passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025.
After graduating from Maysville High School, Bob faithfully served his country in the United States Army. On December 17, 1960, he married the love of his life, Patricia “Pat” McCrea, at the Christian Church in Maysville. God blessed their marriage with 61 years together, and Bob lovingly cared for Pat all the way through her final days. His devotion was no surprise ~ he was the kind of man that always put others before himself and was known for never speaking an unkind word about anyone.
Bob had a deep love for the outdoors. He was an avid coon hunter, hunting from November to March no matter what. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, going to auctions and garage sales, and making homemade candy of all kinds to share with others. More than anything, Bob cherished his family, his friends, and the time they spent together.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Pat; his aunt and uncle who raised him, Virgil and Oleva Flesher, after the passing of his mother when Bob was just three weeks old.; brothers, George Bromley and J.C. Bromley; stepmother, Gladys Bromley; stepsister, Charlene Pfleiderer.
He is lovingly remembered by his son, David Bromley; half-brother, Everett Bromley; stepsister, Connie Reed; grandchildren, Broc (Ricki) Bromley and Reid Bromley; great-granddaughter, Ella; along with many dear family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Turner Family Funeral Home in Maysville, with burial immediately following at Hopewell Cemetery.Family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
