As Buchanan County approaches 800 cumulative COVID-19 cases since counting began, local health officials report the first death in weeks.
Buchanan County and St. Joseph health officials say the county has recorded its third death related to the coronavirus. The victim is described as a man in his 70s who had an underlying health condition.
Mosaic Life Care has now tested more than 9,000 with 429 testing positive. Thirteen COVID-19 patients are now being treated in St. Joseph with one hospitalized in Albany. Mosaic is awaiting results from 234 tests.
Andrew County reports 36 cases, all but one confirmed by lab tests.
Doniphan County, Kansas is steady at 20 cases.
Missouri reports 16,417 total cases with 882 deaths.
Kansas reports 11,419 cases with 245 deaths.
