Doris Fuston, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 22, 2024. She was born January 7, 1938 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Forrest and Minnie Aughinbaugh.
She graduated from Lafayette High School after being an avid Roller Skater earning bars and medals in Dance and Figure Skating. Later she became a teacher and taught at North Andrew R-6 for 21 years.
As a member of Ashland United Methodist Church, she was active in the United Methodist Women and sang in the Chancel Choir.
Sewing clothes, wedding dresses, quilts, and cake decorating were her hobbies as was knitting, crocheting, and reading. She also loved camping at Roaring River State Park with her family and special friends, the Moyer family.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Garold Fuston, son Garold William Fuston Jr., brothers Forrest Dale Aughinbaugh and infant James Earl Aughinbaugh, sisters Amelia Rosa Lee (Walt) Younger and twin sister Delores (Ron) Jacobs, and great granddaughter Lynlee Marrs.
Survivors are daughter Annette (Lance) Marrs, son Dennis Fuston, grandchildren Anne (Sean) McKisson, Landon (Rachel) Marrs, and Brittany and Allison Fuston. Her great grandchildren are Samantha and Rebecca McKisson, Presttyn, Payssyn, and Parkker Fuston, and Layton and Loren Marrs. There are also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 5, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, October 4, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
