Helen "Sally" M. Miller, 96, St. Joseph, MO, passed away on December 22, 2023. She was born on June 8, 1927, in Auburn, NE, to the late Benjamin and Rachel (Hill) Owens.
A graduate of Maitland High School, Sally carried her entrepreneurial spirit into her professional life, successfully operating Hodson Cleaners for 19 years. Her commitment to her community shone through her involvement with the Rebekah Lodge, and her dedication to helping others was evident in her volunteer work with Second Harvest, Camp Quality, and the Special Olympics. Sally's zest for life was contagious, and her love for bingo nights was known to all.
Sally's personal life was marked by her loving marriage to Herbert L. Miller, whom she wed on January 16, 1946. Their union blossomed until Herbert's passing in 2004. Her legacy continues through her sons, Michael and Joseph Miller, 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory. Sally is also survived by her brother, Richard Owens.
Reuniting with her beloved Herbert, daughter Katherine Nichols, and her four brothers in eternal rest, Sally’s spirit of generosity and joy will be held dear in the hearts of her family and friends forevermore.
