Yvonne Y. Ibarra, 81, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
She was born June 8, 1944 to Paul C. and Velma K. (McKay) Yardley in Quincy, Illinois.
Yvonne was united in marriage to Arturo V. Ibarra on August 21, 1977. Their marriage was a meaningful part of her life, and she cherished the years they shared together. Arturo preceded her in death on August 28, 2007.
In her working years, Yvonne owned and operated a janitorial business, where she demonstrated a strong work ethic and a commitment to doing every task with care.
Faith was also an important part of Yvonne’s life. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and her beliefs guided her conduct and gave her strength.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; son, John Linquist; and grandson, Joshua Jacobsen.
Survivors include her daughter, Synthia Linquist; stepchildren, Edward Ibarra (Kimberly), Brenda Ibarra, Cindy McCarthy (Patrick), and Patrick Ibarra (Kristin); grandchildren, Kaleb Pankau (Pamela Carone), Christian Linquist, Isaiah Pankau, and Maximilliano Ibarra; great grandchildren, Asher, Luca, and Atreus.
