Cecil White, 83, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, April 13, 2026.
He was born January 20, 1943 to Cecil Sr. and Margaret (McHone) White in Lexington, Kentucky.
On August 6, 1980, Cecil married Theresa Hernandez, the love of his life, his soulmate, and his best friend. Their marriage was a beautiful partnership filled with loyalty, companionship, and deep affection.
He enjoyed golfing with his father-in-law, an activity that gave him both enjoyment and treasured time spent together. He also liked working on cars, playing his guitar, singing, fishing, and camping. He owned and operated White’s Auto Shop for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Willis; nephew, Raymond Willis, Jr.; niece, Peggy VanWinkle; in-laws, Fermin and Margaret Hernandez.
Survivors include his wife and children, Anna Thompson and Cecil Ray Spurlock; brothers, Jack and Donny White; extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank Mosaic Hospice for their wonderful care. Their kindness and support during this time were deeply appreciated and will not be forgotten.
Farewell Services 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 17, Horigan Chapel. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, April 16, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
