Luz Hilda Ramirez Aguiar, 88, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
She was born October 18, 1937 to Jose Ramirez Mendez and Susana Aguiar Rabassa in Caguas, Puerto Rico.
Luz and her husband, Pablo Delgado Medina, nurtured a family that stands as a testament to her love and resilience. She was a loving sister to Carlos Ramirez Aguiar and Cesar Ramirez Aguiar. Her legacy continues through her children: Edna Delgado Stephens, Hilda Delgado (Bamdad Pourladian), and Pablo Delgado (Jeyda Bernard); her cherished grandchildren: Luis Cruz (Krystel Campbell), Alex Cruz, Elias Pourladian (Allison), Irene Guenther (Mitchell), Jeydi Delgado (Kyle Haynes), Paola Delgado (Derrick Lugo), and Nicole Delgado; as well as her adored great-grandchildren: Elam Pourladian, Emil Pourladian, Lily Guenther, and Sam Guenther.
For over three decades, Luz's career at Banco Popular in Puerto Rico was marked by utmost professionalism and a strong work ethic.
Luz had a passion for life that could be seen in her love for jigsaw puzzles, crafts, reading, and music. Each hobby was an avenue for her creative spirit and an opportunity for family bonding. Family gatherings were not just events but a cornerstone of her existence, and she took immense joy in hosting and participating in them.
Her life was a beautiful mosaic of moments that created an unforgettable picture of love, dedication, and warmth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Luis Ramirez Aguiar.
