CALDWELL COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just after 2p.m. Tuesday in Caldwell County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Ford Expedition driven by Michael J. Schieber, 71, Hamilton, was northbound entering U.S. 36 from the crossover at Route P two miles west of Hamilton.
The driver failed to yield to a westbound 2018 Hyundai Sonata driven by Phillip L. Payne, 66, Champaign, Illinois.
The Ford struck the drivers side of the Hyundai. The impact pushed the Hyundai into a 2022 Kenworth semi driven by Michael H. Miller, 57, Wayne, Maine.
Caldwell County EMS transported Schieber and Payne to Cameron Regional Medical Center. Miller was not injured. Schieber and Payne were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
