3 injured and Andrew Co. man accused of DWI after UTV overturns

ANDREW COUNTY —Three people were injured and one arrested after an accident that occurred just after 11p.m. Friday in Andrew County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2023 Polaris RZR driven by Austin E. Cook, 30, Savannah, was doing donuts in a private parking lot South of Route D eight miles north of Savannah.

The vehicle overturned and two passengers were partially ejected. The vehicle came to rest on top of the two passengers.

Andrew County EMS transported the passengers Kayla M. Whitmer, 28, St. Joseph and Courtney L. Barron, 34, Savannah, to Mosaic Life Care.

A law enforcement vehicle transported Cook to Mosaic after his arrest on requested felony charges of DWI involving serious physical injury.
