Frances M. Taylor 1938 - 2025

Frances Marie (Burgess) Taylor was born on April 3, 1938 in Maitland, MO to Adrian Glenn and Frances Martha (Archer) Burgess. She lived in Maitland until 1953, when she moved to Rock Port, MO. She attended Maitland and Rock Port high schools.

On December 23, 1955 she was united in marriage to Robert Dale Taylor at the Christian parsonage in Mound City, Missouri. To this union three children were born: Glenn, Bob, and Barbara. 

Frances became an emergency medical technician (EMT) in 1974. She was the first EMT in Atchison County. In 1980 she became a mobile emergency medical technician (MEMT). She ran the ambulance service in Atchison County for many years.  She also worked for Chamberlain Flower Shop for several years, and was the activity director for Pleasant View Nursing Home for eight years.

Frances enjoyed camping and spending time with family. She was a member of the Rock Port Christian Church. Frances served on the Greenhill Cemetery Board for many years.

Frances is survived by sons, Glenn (Mary) Taylor, Long Beach MS, and Bob (Peggy) Taylor Warsaw, MO; daughter, Barbara (BW) Kennell, Hamburg, C; brother, Bob (Sheila) Burgess, Cross Timbers, MO; sister-in-law, Darlene Burgess, St. Joseph MO, nine grandchildren, Catherine (Daniel) Bassett, Jamie Jenner, Lisa (Ryan) Taylor, Christopher (Erica) Taylor, Robert Allen (Carla) Taylor, Rebecca Bressler, Brandy Saunders, Bridgette (Anthony) Wilson, and Brittney Swaink (fiancé Matt Lickliter); 12 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. 

Frances is proceeded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Fredrick Glenn Burgess and Kenneth Wayne Burgess; and great granddaughter, Kynlee Wilson.  

Frances gained her wings on March 10, 2025.

Graveside services and interment: Thursday, March 13, 2025, 11:00 am, Greenhill Cemetery, Rock Port, MO.
