Mike Aspey March 15, 1957-December 15, 2025

Mike Aspey, 68, Amazonia, Missouri; passed away Monday, December, 15, 2025 at his home.  

Mike was born on March 15, 1957 in St. Joseph, Missouri, to the late Stanley and Dorothy (Keller) Aspey.  He was a 1975 graduate of Faucett High School.  

Mike served 45 years in law enforcement, with 10 years at the Sheriff’s Office in the Court Security Division working as a court deputy for Judge Pat Robb and Judge Terry White, 15 years as the Director of Police and Security for the Truman Library and Museum, 14 years for the St. Joseph Police Department and in various other agencies.

Mike was a member of Three Angels Seventh Day Adventist Church.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, an old-car enthusiast and always enjoyed a round of mini-golf.  He eagerly awaited trips to Branson and attending the variety of live shows and entertainment.

Mike married Brenda Uehlin on June 26, 1997.  She survives him of the home.

Additional survivors include children, Michael (Amanda) Aspey, Tyler Aspey, Travis (Tamika) Davis, Tasha (Brent) Blackburn; brother, Stan (Sandy) Aspey and grandchildren, Kazden, Olivia, Emilia, Jaycee and Haylee.

Mike has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel, where the family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, December 19, 2025 at our chapel, located at 307 S. 6th St. Savannah, Missouri 64485.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
