Dennis Franklin Steeby 74, of Dearborn, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at his home.
He was born October 1, 1951 in Savannah, MO, son of the late Mae Louise and Willard Steeby. He married Marilyn Keith on June 9, 197, and she survives of the home. He served in the United States Marine Corp, and he is a veteran of the Vietnam War. Dennis worked at several agencies and companies most notably as a Deputy with the Buchannan County Sheriff's Dept., Buchanan County Road Maintenance Dept., Fermenta Animal Health, and Phoenix Scientific.
He liked to fish and hunt, ride motorcycles, camping, playing sports, going to the zoo with kids and grandkids, he loved family vacations, and riding the grandkids on the tractor.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Alma (Aaron Jr.) Keith, Curtis Steeby, Beverly (Edgar) Williams, Sonny (Gloria) Williams, and two great grandchildren, Emberlynn Coey and Myla Ranes.
He is survied by wife, Marilyn Steeby of the home, daughters, Candy (Julia) Ferguson, Chrisie (Dave ) Murphy, Carrie (Charley) Adams, and Cheri (Joe) Pearl all of St. Joseph, sons: Dennis (Tiffany) Steeby, II, Dearborn, MO, and David Steeby, Kansas City, MO, 17 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren, siblings: Raymond (Cheri) Steeby, Fred (Anna) Steeby, Kevin (Shelly) Steeby, Bertha (Bill) Belding, and Lori (Jennifer) Boller.
The family will receive friends from 2 - 4:00 PM on Sunday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 10:00 am, Monday, April 27, 2026 at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Ashland Cemetery.
