Bobby Ray Odom 1939 - 2024

Bobby Ray Odom, 84, White Cloud, Kansas, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024.

He was born on June 6, 1939, to Felix and Annabelle (Grizzel) Odom in Fultondale, Alabama.

He served in the United States Navy after graduating high school.

Bobby worked at Continental X-Ray and International Tool and Machine in Chicago, Illinois prior to moving to Alabama and becoming a truck driver. His career spanned over 28 years, working for other companies such as Millers and The Foundry.

On June 23, 1965, he was united in marriage to Sandra Swihart. She survives of the home.

Bobby was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He enjoyed working on DIY projects, and loved listening to country, bluegrass and gospel music.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Martha Ann Odom and Billy Odom.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Sandra Odom; daughters, Dawn (Tim) Smith and Cherie (Randy) Sims; grandchildren, Justin Smith, Amber (Thomas) Jakeman, Joseph Sims and Jesse (Deanna) Sims; great-grandchildren, Chase Jakeman, Rowan Jakeman, Elijah Jakeman and Noah Sims; and siblings, Tom Odom and Mary Alice Vessels.
