Earlier this month, the St Jo Frontier Casino hosted a successful ST JO CARES event benefiting Friends of the Animal Shelter of St Joseph raising nearly $4,000.
During the one-day fundraiser, guests were invited to make a one-time donation of up to $100 and receive matching free play as a thank-you for their generosity. The event raised a total of $3,935 to help support the shelter’s mission of caring for animals in need thanks to the support of community members.
“We’re incredibly grateful to our guests and team members who made this event such a success,” said Director of Marketing for St. Jo Frontier Casino Alison Nicholson in a news release. “Supporting local organizations like Friends of the Animal Shelter is an important part of our commitment to the community.”
A check presentation will take place at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, April 29th at the casino. The presentation comes just ahead of National Shelter Pet Adoption Day on April 30, a day dedicated to encouraging pet adoption and raising awareness for shelter animals.
The funds raised will directly benefit the shelter’s ongoing efforts to provide care, shelter, and adoption services for animals throughout the St. Joseph area.
