Ronald Dean "Ronnie" Scrivener 1955 - 2024

Ronald Dean Scrivener, 69, passed away peacefully in the loving arms of the Lord on June 1st, 2024, at his home at the Lake of the Ozarks. He was born on March 11, 1955 in Kansas City, MO to James and Winnie (Deane) Scrivener. Ron was a 1973 graduate of North Platte High School.

He married his wife, Debra Holtkamp Scrivener, and they resided in Camden Point, MO. Ron spent many years of his life taking care of others. He was a member of the Camden Point Fire Department and worked for MAST as an EMT for 25 years, retiring in 2010.After retirement, Ron , along with his wife and son, moved to Roach, MO at the Lake of the Ozarks in 2017.

He enjoyed boating and tinkering with motors. He especially enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, James Olin Scrivener, his mother, Winnie (Dean) Scrivener, and his sister, Patsy Smith.

He is survived by: his wife, Debbie Scrivener of Lake of the Ozarks, his brother James Scrivener, and his wife Lila of Dearborn, MO, his sister, Betty Rust, and her husband Bill, of Smithville, MO, his son, Randal Scrivener of Lake of the Ozarks, and his daughter Tracy Shippee, and her husband Adam and grandchildren, Gracelyn and Benjamin of Smithville, MO, as well as many nephews and nieces.

A visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 6th at the Vaughn-Aufranc Funeral Home in Dearborn, Missouri; followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral service at the funeral home. Interment services will follow at the Dearborn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ron’s memory can be given to help community children by donating to the North Platte School District Lunch Program-212 W. 6th St.- Dearborn MO 64439.Later this year there will be a celebration of life held at the Lake of the Ozarks for our lake friends and family, to be announced at a later date. Ronald made us laugh, and cry, but most of all touched our lives deeply. He has left our lives but will never leave our hearts.
