Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe spoke Friday at Van-Am Tool & Engineering, who announced the launch of new aerospace defense production line supporting the U.S. Navy. The product line is related to MK-41 maritime missile launchers.

Kehoe toured Van-Am's operations, met with company leadership and employees, and learned more about the company's advanced manufacturing capabilities and ongoing expansion efforts that are strengthening the regional economy and supporting national defense.

The expansion is set to create 17 full-time jobs over the next two years, and Kehoe, along with local leaders, are emphasizing St. Joseph's developing manufacturing in defense and aerospace.

Van-Am CEO Keith Mills said in a release, "We were honored to welcome Governor Kehoe to Van-Am and showcase the incredible work our employees do every day... It was a great opportunity to highlight the talent of our workforce and the investments we're making to support our customers and the future of manufacturing in Missouri."
