St. Joseph health officials report 18 new COVID-19 cases on Monday

St. Joseph health officials report 18 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, the largest one-day increase in coronavirus cases since the St. Joseph Health Department made its last report on Thursday.

The St. Joseph Health Department no longer issues daily COVID-19 case counts.

The department reports four new cases on Friday, none on Saturday, one on Sunday, and 18 on Monday. Its next daily brief will be issued on Thursday.

Mosaic Life Care reports its case count is minimal. Mosaic states on its webpage that it will not report the number of COVID-19 patients in its system as long as the total number remains at 10 or fewer.

Buchanan County now has totaled 10,614 cases since the pandemic began with 183 deaths. The county vaccination rate remains around 20%. The St. Joseph Health Department reports 17,739 county residents have received their first shot with 15,924 completing their coronavirus vaccination.

Andrew County reports a total of 2,080 coronavirus cases since the pandemic began, resulting in 21 deaths.

Doniphan County, Kansas reports a total of 1,017 cases.
