Mo. man hospitalized in St. Joe after 2-vehicle crash

DAVIESS COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 1p.m. Tuesday in Daviess County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2018 Cadillac CTS driven by an 88-year-old Springfield man was northbound on on Interstate 135 two miles west of Winston. The driver failed to yield to an eastbound 2011 Nissan driven by a 41-year-old Gallatin man at U.S. 69.  The Nissan struck the Cadillac on the driver side and overturned.

Daviess County ambulance transported the Nissan driver to Mosaic in St. Joseph. The Cadillac was not injured. The Nissan driver was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
