Dennis Dorsey, 69, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025.
He was born October 3, 1955 to Donald D. and Dolores L. (Schoenfelder) Dorsey in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Dennis, a Savannah High School graduate, showcased his love for agriculture as a dedicated FFA member and exhibited his athletic spirit by participating in track and cross country.
An avid lover of the cosmos, Dennis spent countless nights gazing at the stars, nurturing his passion for astronomy. His love for the natural world was evident through his enthusiasm for hiking and exploring the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Donna Moore, Beverly O’Riley, and Barbara Garton; brother, Delbert Dorsey.
Survivors include his son, Derek Dorsey; granddaughter, Kaedance Dorsey; siblings, Darold Dorsey (Dolores), Deborah Noah, Brian Dorsey, and Davona Cluck; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Farewell Services 10:00 A.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
