Buchanan County COVID-19 cases inch toward one thousand with St. Joseph city health officials reporting 954 total cases since counting began, 852 confirmed with 102 considered probable.
The latest numbers come with the backdrop of Missouri reporting its highest daily increase in confirmed coronavirus cases. Missouri health officials reported 795 on Thursday, bringing the total confirmed cases of the virus in Missouri to 25,999.
Mosaic Life Care has tested 13,733 area residents with 594 testing positive. Ten patients are now hospitalized in St. Joseph. Mosaic is awaiting results from 219 tests.
Andrew County reports 61 cases; 53 confirmed and eight probable.
Doniphan County, Kansas reports 27 cases.
Kansas health officials report 17,618 cases with 282 deaths.
