Purnima H. Sheth, age 65, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 15, 2023, surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and a life well lived.
She was born on February 7, 1958, to Dharshibhai and Ruxamani (Vora) Mehta in Bombay, India.
Purnima married the love of her life, Dr. Hemant K. Sheth, on April 17, 1981. After receiving her Bachelor of Commerce degree, she found joy in being a full-time medical practice manager while raising her two children.
She was devoted to her family as a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, and grandmother, as well as to her extended St. Joseph family. She loved cooking and teaching everyone her many world-class recipes. She also loved arranging flowers, painting, and playing (and usually winning) card games.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Hemant Sheth; son, Samir Sheth (Saumya Dave); grandson, Sahil Sheth; daughter, Nisha Sheth (Harsha Srinivas); siblings Ramesh Mehta, Jyotsna Shah, Renuka Shah, and Hitesh Mehta; and extended family and friends.
Later in life, she also appreciated the significant support she received from multiple caregiver friends, including most recently Kylea Elliott and Ponzee Pulikkal, as well as the critical care nurses and physicians at Mosaic Life Care.
