Free COVID-19 testing will be offered in St. Joseph Saturday.
The City of St. Joseph Health Department says it is working with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to provide free drive-through COVID-19 testing at Heritage Park Softball Complex, 2202 Waterworks Road from 7am until 3pm Saturday.
Testing is being offered to any Missouri resident at least seven years old, regardless of whether they have symptoms (which may appear anywhere from 2 to 14 days after exposure).
Testing for COVID-19 involves using a swab to take a sample from inside the nose and determine if there is an active infection with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. This is an active COVID-19 test, not an antibody test. Pre-registration is strongly advised and can be completed online. You can go to the website by clicking here.
