Bill James, 67, Smithville, Missouri, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024.
He was born on September 18, 1956, to William II and Barbara “Barb” (Brown) James in Cameron, Missouri.
He proudly served for the United States Navy for several years. He later worked as a project manager for Cobalt Construction for 35 years.
On December 4, 1987, Bill married Roxi Kay Brown. She preceded him in death on February 24, 2021, after nearly 34 years of marriage.
In his younger years, Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time on the boat out on the lake. He enjoyed trips to Mexico with his wife and later continued taking trips to Mexico with his grandchildren. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and spoiling his beloved grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his half-brother, David Carter; and his cherished wife, Roxi K. James.
Survivors include his children, Will James and Courtney Pippin (Jeff); sisters, Mary Doering and Stephanie Husted; grandchildren, Aiden and Avery Pippin; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 14, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
