The MidCity Excellence Learning Center has been in operation for 25 years, and to celebrate the milestone anniversary the organization is hosting a massive event at the Remington Nature Center.
On Saturday August 1st, the Big Rider 500 will be held from 11am to 4pm in the parking lot of the Remington Nature Center. The event will be a grand prix style race where attendants of all ages will race on a Big Wheel tricycle competing for the fastest time to win the championship cup. The event will operate as a fundraiser for MCE and attendents are suggested to give a $25 donation to participate for a family or a team of up to four people.
Champions cups will also be given out for the fastest speed and speedy seniors among other categories with prizes for the winners. Big Daddy's Barbecue will also be on site on the day to serve food during the event.
