Buchanan County now reports 1,000 COVID-19 cases, 10 deaths

Buchanan County has recorded its 10th COVID-19 related death as the county updates its coronavirus count to 1,033 cases since counting began.

St. Joseph health officials reported on Thursday 900 have been confirmed through tests with 133 listed as probable.

The 10th coronavirus-related death was a man in his 80s who had underlying health issues.

Mosaic Health Care has now tested 16,874 area residents with 762 testing positives as of Friday. Mosaic reports six COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in St. Joseph as for Friday morning.

Mosaic is awaiting results on 398 tests.

Andrew County health officials report 82 total cases since counting began; 69 confirmed and 13 probable.

Doniphan County, Kansas reports 34 cases.

Missouri health officials report 37,700 cases with 1,179 deaths.

Kansas reports 24,104 cases with 308 deaths.
