Patrol asks public to help in investigation of likely hit-and-run death on I-29

The Missouri Highway Patrol is asking for the public’s help as it investigates a likely hit-and-run death in St. Joseph Monday.

The body of 29-year-old Jeromy Loveday of Powell, Tennessee was found in the median of I-29 Monday.

The patrol also disclosed that Loveday likely died Friday evening with his body not discovered until Monday afternoon.

The Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control has released a tentative description of the vehicle which might have struck Loveday. The vehicle is white and might be a semi-tractor trailer missing a left headlight with damage to the left fender.
