2 hospitalized after 3-vehicle Nodaway County crash

NODAWAY COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just before 7:30p.m. Friday in Nodaway County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a  2014 Nissan Versa driven by Jacole D. Hunzinger, 21, Maryville, was eastbound on U.S. 136 just east of Neon Road eight miles east of Maryville.

The car rear-ended a 2009 Kia Optima driven by Rose A. Miller, 57, Maryville, who had stopped for a 2013 Volkswagen Passat driven by Cody M. Runde, 31, Ravenwood, to make a left turn into a private drive.

After impact, the Nissan crossed the center of the road and rear-ended Volkswagen.

A private vehicle transported Hunzinger to Mosaic in Maryville. Nodaway County EMS transported a passenger in the Nissan Jonathan E. Bliley, 53, Stanberry, to Mosaic in Maryville. The other drivers were not injured. All four were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
